Description

Milo's ideal home

Milo needs an active home, and can live with high school aged children and a dog of a similar nature. He is not used to spending time alone but is house trained. Milo will dig in the garden.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

Milo is a small, hairy whirlwind and he's looking for a family that can keep up with him! He has bags of energy and needs plenty appropriate outlets for it, so if you're a family that enjoys long walk in the country, Milo could be ideal. He's a friendly boy with a cheeky streak but it can take him a minute to suss out new people, so should always be allowed time to investigate new friends. Milo gets along well with other dogs but is very boisterous. We'd have no worries about placing him with another dog but they would have to be equally bonkers or phenomenally tolerant! We know from his previous owners that Milo likes to dig and chew things in the garden, so he may need a small sand pit or similar so he can dig that up instead of your petunias! He doesn't chew things in the house, but he's not used to ever being left alone, so his new family will need to introduce any alone time gradually.

Flo

Liverpool, Merseyside

...to approach first. Flo gets along with other dogs very well but she'll need to be the only pet at home as she does guard food and toys from them. She has also stolen items in the home and growled over them, so any children at home will need to be over 14 and understand not to try to take anything from her. Flo will swap items for treats, but ideally she should be...

...he wants to get somewhere. Barclay doesn't object to dogs in the distance but he will bark at them if they get too close. He loves toys and gets very excited to throw them around! He was very quick to jump in an open vehicle so he's probably used to travelling by car.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
