Alfred

1 day

Alfred's ideal home

Alfred is an 11 year old Beagle who is looking for a family who can offer a low-key lifestyle, a comfy bed, and some gentle adventures. He’s fully housetrained, currently living in a foster home, and has a lovely settled nature. If you are someone who understands the needs of a senior dog, Alfred would be ideal. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a sweet older gent who still has a sparkle in his eye, Alfred might just be waiting for you.

Could you be Alfred's perfect match?

If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who enjoys life at a slower pace, Alfred could be your perfect match. Alfred still loves to get out and explore the world, especially through his nose! Whether it's a sniff-filled stroll or a ride in the car, Alfred is always up for a little adventure. He enjoys meeting new people and settles easily, making him a joy to have around. Alfred would thrive in a calm, quiet home where he can relax and enjoy his golden years. He could happily live with dog savvy teenagers upwards who respect his space. He prefers to be the only pet in the home, as he's a very independent soul who values his peace and routine. Alfred does have some extra medical needs, which can be discussed further, should you be the right match.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Beagle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
