About This Dog for Adoption

Arthur's ideal home

Arthur has come into our care with limited history so we don't know too much about his past. What we do know is that he has had quite limited experience of the world so is looking for a patient forever family that can teach him all he needs to know. This will include things such as learning to walk on the lead, housetraining and learning how to spend time home alone which we recommend is built up gradually. Anx has been enjoying exploring the outside world and will need his own secure garden with direct access from the house. We're currently still assessing Arthur's interactions with other dogs, so whilst he needs to be the only dog at the moment this could change. Arthur could live with children of 11+ who can understand that he can be a worried soul at times and be able to give him any space he might need. Arthur is a sweet boy who loves the company of his human friends and is often found snuggling up to his carers trying to get all the attention he can!

Arthur is a sweet boy and we're sure it wont be long until he's up to beagle mischief! We recommend that new owners research the breed and their traits as they can be very active dogs who love to be on the go. Once he's found his paws, Arthur will likely love to go on adventures and do lots of exploring with his new family.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Beagle Owners website
Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images
