About This Dog for Adoption

Reuben's ideal home

Reuben is a clever boy who is excited to begin the search for a home! While we don't know if Reuben has ever been around children before he'll be fine to live with those of secondary school age, as long as they are happy with a bouncy, bubby dog. Reuben has had kennel cough since arriving in our care and so has been unable to mix. For the moment he's looking for a home as the only dog, but we'll update this once we know more. Reuben has a good history of living and being around cats, and could live with them again provided gradual introductions take place. Reuben is overweight and is currently on a diet!

Could you be Reuben's perfect match?

Reuben is a lovely boy who came to us through no fault of his own. He is 6 years old with a really positive home history. Reuben is fully housetrained, has a good history of car travel and been ok with being left for short periods. We recommend left alone time is built back up as he doesn’t love it here, but with a good history of settling in a home it shouldn’t take him long. Reuben is an inquisitive and active boy who would love a family to keep his body and brain busy while helping him lose the extra weight!

Beagle Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Beagle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
