About This Dog for Adoption

Nutmeg's ideal home

Nutmeg is a sweet, 8 year female Beagle looking for her forever home. She is a typical Beagle and loves going on a sniffy walk with her nose to ground and thinks food is just wonderful! She enjoys meeting other dogs and could share her home with a doggy friend, although she will need a home with no cats or other animals. We have no previous history of Nutmeg around children, but following successful meets feel she could live with sensible children aged 14 years and up, who will give her space when she needs it. Loving her walks, Nutmeg manages road walking confidently, except for passing larger noisy vehicles but her ideal walking areas would be places like woodlands and fields, where all the good sniffs are. As Nutmeg was a stray before coming into our care, any leaving times at home should be built up gradually, giving her time to settle in first.

Could you be Nutmeg's perfect match?

Nutmeg is an adorable girl who loves to have her nose to the ground. She adores her walks and enrichment and is looking for a family who will give her lots of outlets for using her nose. Nutmeg loves to spend time with her handlers and greet new people, although please don't be offended if something interesting to sniff out instead of saying hello straight away. Enjoying a fuss and playing a game with her toys, this lovely senior girl will make a fantastic companion to her new adopters.
