Description

Milo's ideal home

Milo is a happy hound who is looking for a very active family who love hiking and long walks and can share his home with people over the age of 16. In typical hound fashion, this boy loves his grub and will do anything for a tasty treat! He is a smart fella who is looking to be kept busy - mentally and physically in his new home. This sweet boy is looking for direct access to a secure garden with a minimum of 5ft fencing. Milo is looking to be the only pet in the home but would definitely benefit from socialising with other dogs on his walks.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

Milo can have limited recall, especially around distractions such as dogs, so will only be able to be let off lead in secure areas where he can continue to work on his recall. Milo can struggle when he is left alone so will need a training minded family who can work with him on being left alone. He will make a fabulous addition to somebody who has some experience, especially with hounds. Milo will require multiple meets at the centre prior to adoption to build a relationship with his new family, which may include home visits.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
