About This Dog for Adoption

Celery's ideal home

Celery is a gorgeous 1 year old, Beagle crossbreed, looking for her forever family. She can be shy at first, but builds strong bonds with her favourite people – she loves a fuss, always pulling your hand back for more! This girl needs a patient, understanding home that are willing to give her the time and space to come out of her shell, build confidence and make a start on her basic training. We have limited history for her with regards to previous training, so she will need help mastering the basics such as toilet training. This gentle girl loves her treats and takes them politely, and her favourite toys are the way to her heart – especially tennis balls and squeaky teddies.

Could you be Celery's perfect match?

As Celery needs to build up her confident, a patient, quiet home would be ideal. She can live with older secondary school children, with visiting children slightly younger, who will let her come to them for fuss. She has lived with dogs previously and is currently kennelled with another dog at the centre, so we feel she could live with another dog in her new home pending a successful mix at the centre. Celery is a sweet girl, looking for a fresh start in her new home where she can grow in confidence and get all the cuddles she deserves.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Beagle Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
