About This Dog

Oreo's ideal home

Oreo is looking for a home where any children are over the age of 12 as he can get rather giddy and boisterous. He could share his new home with another dog pending a successful meet here at the centre, and has previously lived with cats so should do so again provided that they are confident around his OTT and playful nature. He is house trained, but will need somebody home as much as possible to begin with to help build his leaving hours slowly otherwise he may become destructive and noisy.

Could you be Oreo's perfect match?

Young Oreo is a super friendly and excitable lad who shows strong Beagle traits. He will need to be given some time and patience to settle into his new environment as he has not had much stability recently. He can be worried by very busy traffic so will need his new family to work on building his confidence slowly and positively. Typical of his breed, Oreo loves to sniff! He can pull on his lead at times as he in such a rush to sniff as much as possible, so some loose lead training and focus work will need to be continued once he settles in. Oreo is quite the socialite and loves being with other dogs so we feel he would enjoy sharing his new home with a well suited dog. He is a clever young lad and is eager to learn but hasn't quite mastered all of his basics just yet. Oreo would love a family who can enjoy teaching him all these new tricks and keep him mentally as well as physically active. We would strongly recommend that any potential adopters research the breed to ensure that they are confident they can meet Oreo's needs.
