Description

Edie's ideal home

Edie is a sweet 9 month old Beagle cross Collie. Due to Edie's background she is a little under socialised so can find new things a little scary. Edie is making really good progress with us at the centre and growing in confidence daily. She is looking for calm and patient owners who will allow her to do this in her own time. Edie can live with children 11 years and over and would love to live with another resident dog in the home to help her with her confidence. When edie bonds with someone she relies on them for reassurance and confidence but can be nervous when first meeting new people. Edie is still a really young girl so is very willing to learn and loves a tasty treat which is definitely helpful when teaching her new skills. Edie must live with another well adjusted dog in the home.

Could you be Edie's perfect match?

Edie is a gorgeous girl who is looking for patient owners to go at her pace as she does find the world overwhelming. Edie loves her toys and once she comes out of her shell, she loves a game of fetch! With a slow and steady approach , Edie will make a fantastic dog with so much potential when she is settled in.

Beagle Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Beagle.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
