Fig
Fig's ideal home
Fig is searching for a home with adults and a home that already has an existing dog. We have no history of Fig with cats, small furries or livestock. Fig will need her garden to be safe and secure. Due to her timid character, she will need a quiet home environment. Any potential adopters should be prepared to visit the centre a few times to build up a bond with Fig.
Could you be Fig's perfect match?
Fig is a six-year-old Beagle cross who is small in size, weighing just 8kg. She is a timid character who grows in confidence when she is in the company of another dog. When Fig is with another dog, she comes around a lot quicker when it comes to human interaction. She is wary of fuss but will meet and greet nicely when another dog ‘shows her the way’. We suspect that Fig has not experienced a home environment before. Fig enjoys treats and loves her food. Like a typical Beagle she has her nose to the ground often, enjoying a good sniff of her environment; scent games are a great way for her to build confidence! She is a blank canvas when it comes to basic training. She has not shown any interest in toy play. Fig loves to go for walks and enjoys meeting other dogs. She can be playful with dogs, and she can be worried by boisterous dogs.
