Boogie's ideal home

Boogie loves food a little too much and often becomes uncomfortable at the possibility of sharing. For this reason, we advise any home isn't open plan and he can have a room such as a utility of his own for mealtimes or when you are preparing or eating food. Typical of his breed he is quite the scavenger! Boogie is happy to have dog friends out on walks but we suggest he is the only animal in the home so he can have all the attention! Boogie would love his own garden so he can continue his hobby of sunbathing, but he would prefer a quieter set up so we feel he's better suited to an adult only home. Ideally any home of Boogie’s will have previous experience of owning hounds and are familiar with their breed characteristics – especially the Beagle bark! A home Boogie can thrive in is one that can set out a clear routine and guidance for him as he has spent a large part of his life in kennels, adapting to home life may take some time to sink in.
Boogie will require multiple visits to the centre to ensure adopters are comfortable with a routine and settling in plan that staff at the centre will discuss with them. Because of this, any potential adopters should live within an hour of us. Boogie is on joint supplements for age related stiffness which is important to consider when enquiring about him.

Boogie is a 10 year old Beagle with a big character! Despite his age he still loves being out exploring the countryside and putting that beagle nose to work! Boogie is a very sociable boy that loves to meet new dogs and people on his terms. He walks beautifully on lead so is a pleasure to be with. After a walk his favourite activity is sunbathing, and we often catch him snoozing in his bed out in his compound catching some rays. Boogie is full of enthusiasm and can get very eager in various situations often meaning he demonstrates quite regularly that Beagle bark!
